Wauwatosa to launch weekly farmers market

Starting June 5, 2010, Wauwatosa will have its own farmers market. "Tosa Farmers Market," a project of the Fire Fly Foundation, Ltd., is a volunteer-run open air market that brings locally-grown fruits and vegetables and foods crafted by Wisconsin artisans directly to the people of Wauwatosa and surrounding communities. The market is located on the municipal parking lot underneath the Underwood Bridge between Hoyt and Hart parks along the Menomonee River, next to the historic "The Little Red Store" (7720 Harwood Avenue). Are you looking to get involved in the neighborhood or meet new people?

The Swan Park Neighborhood Association is looking for you. Board meetings are typically held the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Consider one of the following positions:

	Social Chair—organize a variety of social events for the neighborhood.
	Newsletter Editor—put together the neighborhood newsletter quarterly. Software provided.
	Community Concerns—coordinate volunteer opportunities for our neighborhood.

New Hoyt Pool Slated to Open Memorial Day Weekend 2011

Please mark your calendar for the new Hoyt Park Pool groundbreaking ceremony: DIGGIN’ TO DIVE on Saturday, June 19th from 11am-2pm (rain or shine) at Hoyt Park Picnic Areas 3 & 4 on Menomonee River Pkwy.

This community celebration will feature The Chickadees and The Garlic Mustard Pickers. Everyone is welcome for family fun, games, and music. Food, refreshments, and FOHPP gear will be for sale. For additional information, visit the Friends website at: www.friendsofhoytpark.org .
